Sahih al-Bukhari: Volume 1

Before you lies the first part of the Dutch translation of a collection of narrations from Sahih Al-Bukhari. This work is a translation of the compilation by al-Imam Zain-ud-Din Ahmad Ibn Abdilatief Az-Zabiedie. In his collection—as he indicates himself in his preface—he has included most of the narrations from Sahih Al-Bukhari, omitting repetitive narrations. He has omitted the chains of narrators to make it easier to find the narrations. He has only included repeated narrations if the repetition contains an addition. In this way, the purport of the original book has been preserved. The narrations from Sahih Al-Bukhari have been accepted and adopted by the Islamic nation as authentic. It is not without reason that Sahih Al-Bukhari, along with Sahih Muslim, is the most authentic book after the Quran.
