A basic principle for patience

Sheikh ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Allah (Glorified and Exalted be He) has brought forth something good for His servants in every situation. They (the servants) are constantly in a favor from their Lord, both when something happens to them that they love and when something happens to them that they dislike. And He has made His decrees and His ordainments, which He has determined and predestined for them, a trade from which they can profit and (as) paths through which they can reach Him.
