Castor oil, also known as ricinus oil, is a thick oil that many women use in their hair care and on their eyelashes and eyebrows. The oil contains omega-9 fatty acids, which provide your hair with moisture. Because castor oil is quite thick, you can mix it with, for example, almond oil.

How to use it in your hair

• Apply the oil to your scalp and the ends of your hair
• Put a plastic cap over your hair, possibly with a towel wrapped around it
• Leave the oil to soak in overnight
• Wash your hair the next morning and style it as usual

How to use it on eyelashes and eyebrows

Apply a little oil in the evening before sleeping, for example with a clean, empty mascara brush. Wash it off again in the morning. If you experience irritation, stop immediately.
