Arif Tagine 4 people

This tagine is made of 100% natural clay (earthenware) and has been used in Northern Morocco for thousands of years. It is unglazed, unpainted, and 100% lead-free.

Due to the special cone-shaped lid, evaporated moisture drips back onto the ingredients; this cooking process protects valuable nutrients such as vitamins and flavors.

Diameter: Ø 26 cm.
Base is 8 cm deep
Total height including lid: 17 cm.
Suitable for 4 - 5 people.

The tagine is handmade, so the model delivered may differ slightly from the one in the photo. It may also happen that the tagine shows an imperfection (such as small irregularities). On one hand, this is the charm of the product.

First use of the tagine:

These types of tagines do not require much preparation; first wash both the lid and the base thoroughly with lukewarm water, and it is then ready for use. If you want the tagine to last a very long time, you can pre-heat it empty over a low flame.

Note!:
- The tagine cannot withstand temperature shocks, so heat it up slowly.
- When using in the oven, never preheat.
- The tagine is not dishwasher safe.

Maintenance
Wash the tagine by hand with a little dish soap and lukewarm/warm water. Use a non-metallic brush and do not leave the earthenware soaking in water. Let the tagine dry thoroughly to prevent mold.

Which heat sources are suitable?
You can use the tagine on any heat source except induction.

What dishes can you prepare?
Use the tagine to prepare fish, meat, vegetables, and fruit. During the cooking process in the tagine, the flavors of added herbs and other seasonings are given plenty of time to meld together. The result is a tasty, low-fat dish.
