Shea butter is excellent to use as a maintenance ointment, base ointment, or body butter. Shea butter is also used for all kinds of skin problems, for the daily care of normal skin, for dry skin, and for various skin conditions.

Shea butter is a mixture of many natural oils, including vitamins A & E. What is special about this shea butter are the so-called unsaponifiable components. This makes the shea butter very well tolerated by the skin.

For this reason, shea butter has been used in Africa for centuries to protect and care for (vulnerable) skin. Partly due to shea's good moisture-binding properties, it is ideal for very dry, chapped skin.

Incidentally, it is also claimed to have a healing effect on all kinds of skin problems such as psoriasis, scars, pigment spots, eczema, stretch marks, and sore muscles. Very economical in use.
