Lavandin Essential Oil

Like many essential oils, lavandin is produced via steam distillation. Lavandin is made from the flowering tops of the lavender hybrid. It was already in use during the time of the Egyptians and remains very popular today. Lavandin is a cross between true lavender and spike lavender. Lavandin is slightly less potent in both effect and scent than lavender. Lavandin essential oil is particularly rich in antioxidants that protect your body against all kinds of harmful influences. To make 1 kilo of lavandin oil, approximately 75 kilos of plant material are needed; because the yield of lavandin is higher, it is used more frequently than lavender.

The scent of lavandin essential oil is pure and intense. You can use the essential oil for a massage or as an addition to your homemade day cream. Furthermore, its purifying properties make it an ideal remedy for pimples and other impurities. Lavandin is also a great support for tired muscles when used in a massage oil.

You can use the lavandin essential oil directly on your skin or blend it into a massage oil. Furthermore, you can use the oil in a diffuser; you can determine how strong you want the scent in the room to be by adjusting the number of drops. In addition, you can use it for a wonderfully relaxing evening in the bath by adding about 5 to 10 drops.
