Tamegroute candle holder – handmade Moroccan pottery, 20 or 32 cm

This Tamegroute candle holder is handmade in the village of Tamegroute, in the south of Morocco. The clay is sourced from local rivers, fired in earth ovens, and then glazed with a mixture of oxidized copper and magnesium. This is how the pottery gets its characteristic glaze. Place a candle in it and you will have a piece of Moroccan craftsmanship in your home.
