Over Induction tagines

Need a tajine for induction? Here you will find aluminum tajines with a ceramic or earthenware lid, and earthenware tajines that you use with an induction adapter. There are also sets available with spices, an adapter, and sometimes a cookbook.

Which induction tajine is right for you?

  • Aluminum with ceramic or earthenware lid: the bottom pan goes directly onto the induction hob and the lid is often handmade or hand-painted, as with the Cuilina Fes and Maroc tajines of Ø 30 cm.
  • Aluminum tajine: lightweight, such as the Marrakesh for 4 to 8 people and the Agadir. The Saffron (Ø 30 cm) features a non-stick coating.
  • Earthenware with induction adapter: if you want a traditional earthenware tajine, place it on an induction adapter. These are included in the sets and value packs and are also available separately in Ø 20 cm.
  • Size: most tajines are Ø 30 cm. The sets are also available in 35 cm and for 4 to 6 or 4 to 8 people.
  • As a gift: there are gift sets containing a tajine, a cookbook, spices, and preserved lemons.

How does a tajine work on induction?

An induction hob only heats pans with a magnetic base. Earthenware is not magnetic, which is why you place an induction adapter underneath it: it heats up and transfers the heat to the tajine. Build up the heat gradually and cook on a low to medium setting. Under the cone-shaped lid, meat and vegetables cook slowly in their own juices.

Frequently asked questions

Tajines that are suitable for all heat sources can also be used on gas, ceramic, and electric hobs. The product page indicates which heat sources it is suitable for.

What is included in an induction tajine set?
This varies by set: a 30 or 35 cm tajine, an induction adapter, 190 grams of spices, and with some of the sets, a cookbook.
