The Insignificance Of This World
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: 'By Allah! This world, compared to the Hereafter, is only like one of you dipping this finger into the sea. Let him see how much water it returns with.' 'Isa ibn Maryam (peace be upon him) said: 'Just as fire and water cannot coexist in a cup, the love for the Hereafter and the love for this world cannot coexist in the heart of the believer.' Wahb ibn Munabbih said: 'The example of this world and the Hereafter is like a man who has two wives: if he pleases one, the other becomes displeased.' Yazid ibn Maysarah said: 'Our teachers used to call this world "pig." If they had known a worse name, they would have called it that. When anything of worldly nature came to them, they would say: "Away, away, you pig! We have no need for you. Verily, we know our God!" Sufyan ath-Thawri said: 'Asceticism regarding worldly matters means not expecting to live long. It is not about eating coarse food, nor wearing poor clothing.'

The fundamentals and necessities of Islam
Learning monotheism [tawhid], the correct creed [‘aqidah], and the pillars of Islam belongs to the most important of important matters, and to the most obligatory of obligations. This is so that, on the one hand, the creed may be a correct creed, and on the other hand, worship may be a prescribed worship, purely for the sake of the Countenance of Allaah, and in accordance with the precepts of His Messenger. Therefore, I have written this concise treatise in the light of the Qur’an and the Sunnah, as well as what the scholars of this community and the predecessors of this call have recorded in beneficial and important treatises. The title of this book is: “Guidance of Mankind to the Fundamentals and Essentials of Islam.” I have divided it into chapters, in the form of questions and answers, to make it easier to grasp the content and to arrive at a correct understanding. And I ask Allaah to make it purely for His Countenance, in accordance with His Pleasure, and beneficial to His servants. The ways to protect faith against Satan
The devil attaches himself to the heart of the son of Adam when he is heedless and indifferent. He whispers evil to him - al-waswaas - but when he remembers Allah, the devil retreats. From this, it seems clear to us that the devil can enter the human body. He chooses the heart as his place, for the heart is like a commander and the organs are like his soldiers. So, if the devil masters the heart, the organs submit. But there are hearts surrounded by the walls of faith and a fortified citadel of piety, of which the remembrances of Allah - ad-dhikr - are the guards. The devil can only sneak in secretly, but he is quickly driven away by the guards - remembrances - and thus ends up outside the citadel, rejected and cast away. The purpose of this book is to provide an overview of the protective walls of faith and to teach their practice. In this way, the Muslim and his family are assured of complete protection against the devils among the jinn and mankind. May Allah assist us and make the good and sound practice easy for us, and may He protect us from evil.

AR-RIBA - USURY
The subject of usury, its disadvantages, and its dangerous consequences is worth studying in further detail. Every Muslim should know what Islam says about usury and the various types of interest that exist so that they can distance themselves from it. Given the importance of this subject, I have gathered the evidence for myself and for others who are not yet aware of it. Usury brings with it disadvantages and destructive consequences that affect the individual and the society in which they live. I pray to Allah that this modest work will carry useful information, be sincere towards Allah, that it will help me in a positive way and not be used against me on the Day of Resurrection, and that it will also be useful to the readers. Converts to Islam
Converts to Islam - Salâh Laoud There are increasingly more stories about people who have converted to Islam. ... These involve famous or less famous men and women, who belonged to various religions and movements before their conversion... This proves - if proof were even needed - that Islam is eternal, that it is transparent in its precepts, and that its noble Messenger Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) is truthful. Therefore, the author has decided to write a short work about these personalities, through whom this reader will be able to discover this religion.

The importance of tawheed
If we read the Quran attentively and reflect upon it, we establish that the first command given in it is monotheism: the worship of Allah alone, without associating partners with Him. We also discover that the first prohibition defined in it is the prohibition of polytheism. If Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) has decided in His Book to give this subject a privileged and extremely important place, it is with the intention of urging the believing servants to also pay special attention to monotheism, and to guard themselves against polytheism. Unfortunately, we see that many polytheistic practices are deeply rooted in the mentality and daily life of numerous Muslims. That is why Shaykh 'Abd al-Muhsin al-'Abbad wrote this effective work.
